Warner Bros. Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions released the followung statement this afternoon:

"We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory during the past twelve seasons. We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close.”

Oh man!  I know a lot of snobbish people claim that THE BIG BANG THEORY is low brow and not great TV, but it has long been by far my favorite sitcom.  Granted, no show can go on forever, but I still find BIG BANG THEORY to be very entertaining.  It's good that it gets to go out on it's own terms, but I am still not quite ready to let it go.

Hopefully we will at least get a few more reasons of YOUNG SHELDON to tide me over.
