The television series LOST IN SPACE is one of my guilty pleasures. It didn't create a huge following, and it never got the movie treatement it deserved. It's not STAR TREK. But the whole "Space Family Robinson" concept (another comic book title, by the way; same theme completely different series) was always an intriguing one, and should have found fertile ground in those days of television and movies when imagination looked to the boundless stars.

Agents of SHIELD #3 by Marc Guggenheim and German Peralta
Summary: Coulson’s ex-girlfriend Lola is still working for the Department of Defense. She seems to be trying to manipulate Coulson. She also knows about the Kobik program, which is still active.
Coulson’s team is hot on the trail of the stolen Quantum Drive which contains plans to take down all superheroes. Coulson is also really concerned about Rick Jones work as the Whisperer.

Marvel had a red carpet premiere for Daredevil Season 2, last night. Luke Cage star Mike Coltier was on hand, and he was able to review when Luke Cage would be making it's debut:
"[Our show] going to be action-packed, from beginning to end. Trust me...I will see the fans on September 30."

Avengers Standoff: Assault on Pleasant Hill Alpha #1 - by Nick Spencer and Jesus Saiz
Summary: A SHIELD agent in a far off outpost has hacked into the mainframe to allow his friends to watch NFL games. Winter Soldier attacks the base, forcing this hacker to help him steal some files and then hide his tracks. The agent is later interviewed by Steve Rogers. Rogers is trying to figure out what Bucky is up to. He’s been attacking SHIELD outposts for six days now. Steve is concerned that Bucky’s Winter Soldier programming has kicked in. He realizes Bucky left him a clue at the last attack.

All-New All-Different Avengers #6 by Mark Waid and Mahmud Asrar
Summary: A time displaced Kang attacks the All-New All-Different Avengers. He reveals there was a glitch in the timestream stranding him in this time. He recruited villains like Equinox, Cyclops, Radioactive Man, and has taken over the Vision’s programming in order to create a new Kang Dynasty in our time.
Nova has gone to Jersey City to find Ms Marvel after both of them were thrown off the team because of Vision’s manipulations. They realize Vision is the enemy and head back to the team.

In the various reviews and columns I do for Critical Blast, I talk a lot about diversity in comics. I have said this many times over, as much as Marvel and DC seem inclined to throw out more diverse characters, the biggest problem for me continues to the need for more diversity in terms of the actual people writing, drawing, and editing comics. There has been a little more optimism in this are lately with David F. Walker wring Cyborg, G. Willow Wilson writing Ms Marvel, and renowned author Ta-Nehisi Coates being announced as the new writer of Black Panther.
But way back in 1993, there was a much more serious attempt at creating diversity in comics. And it was called Milestone Media.

Avengers Standoff Welcome To Pleasant Hill #1 by Nick Spencer and Mark Bagley
Summary: This comic starts with Bucky Barnes. Since Original Sin, Bucky has been in space as “The Man on the Wall” protecting Earth from alien threats. But a cosmic level threat has brought him back to Earth. He slips into a secure SHIELD facility using Steve Rogers access codes. He plays a holographic video. We see a SHIELD lab where something goes wrong and an explosion kills everyone. There is a little girl hiding in the lab. She seems to see Bucky, even though she’s supposed to be a recording. She tells him “want to be safe. Just want to be happy.” SHIELD troops arrive, blasting Bucky.

In sports, often team owners will shift personnel around when the team isn't winning. They'll fire coaches, assistants and even cut ties with star players. Eventually, though, if none of that works, the General Manager is removed from power and the organization rebuilds.
Is DC prepared to do the same with their ‘general managers’ Dan Didio and Jim Lee?

The folks over at Bleeding Cool have revealed several panels from today's comic books that could be clues to 'Rebirth'; a concept revealed by DC co-publishers Dan Didio and Jim Lee.
In some cases there are characters regaining their lost memory. What this means for the future of the DC Universe remains to be seen. How far will they go with memories returning and others being wiped out?
If what they're spoiling turns out to be true, it's an easy fix for Superman regaining his 'Clark Kent' secret identity. Not long ago, Lois Lane revealed Superman's secret identity to the world in order to prevent Hodr_root from having control over the Man of Steel. This revelation angered Superman as he insisted that he was handling it his way and Lois had no right to do such a thing.

POWER MAN AND IRON FIST #1 – David F. Walker writing on what should be a pretty big deal project with Power Man and Iron Fist both getting Netflix series over the next two years? Definitely count me in for this one!
