Marvel released the following press release this morning:

SECRET WARS #9! The Biggest Marvel Story of All Time Just Got Bigger!

Today Marvel is pleased to announce the expansion of the blockbuster Secret Wars event with SECRET WARS #9 – coming to comic shops later this year!

Chartbusting creators Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic will extend their stay on Battleworld for one more epic issue. Allowing their cataclysmic story to wrap up as intended, this additional issue will bring Secret Wars to its explosive conclusion. Commentary: I can’t believe I will still be writing commentary on SECRET WARS into December. This is the crossover that just won’t end. The sad part is that I’ve enjoyed most of the SECRET WARS tie-ins, but the main series has been dragging on forever. I was sort of hoping it would get LESS issues, not more. Marvel's new slogan is: "We will milk this out until our dying breath!"
