Critical Blast has your first 'lettered' look inside the pages of Valiant's next unstoppable hero as 4001 A.D. continues with: WAR MOTHER #1 (due out August 3rd)!

4001 A.D.: WAR MOTHER #1 will contain the first full appearance of a formidable new force in the future of the Valiant Universe. Rocketing out of the aftermath of the summer's most ambitious crossover event, this standalone issue will be a must-read tale; torn from the lawless frontiers of the 41st century!

Before you get to the preview, I'd like to offer a little commentary on what your about to see. The covers all look amazing in their own artistic way. Valiant has done an excellent job portraying their new hero. On Cover A, take note of the words scrawled across Ana's (War Mother) outfit, defining who she is while filling out the image. Cover B clearly has her looking out across the land as a 'protector' would. Cover C displays the 'hunter' in her as she cautiously moves about the jungle floor.

So, to recap: as 'inorganics' have come crashing down from space, Ana (War Mother) goes off in search of it's location to scavenge whatever she can from it. All the beats of a good story being developed are present here and I, for one, am eagerly awaiting the premiere of this new series by Valiant Entertainment.
