While it didn't get off the ground very fast, after it was announced, SYFY produced a planet-shattering 1st season that exceeded most expectations.
With jaw-dropping plot twists and shocking revelations, KRYPTON "flipped the table" and turned everything we knew about Superman's lineage and history on its head. Starring Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, "Superman's Grandfather", Krypton features a clash of ideologies, as a society that thrives off of its caste system is threatened by multiple outside sources.
The universe travelling tyrant known as "Brainiac" is on his way to enslave an entire city which will disrupt the core of the planet and lead to its destruction. By infiltrating the planets religion, Brainiac hopes to retrieve his prize with as little resistance as possible. Seg is given a warning of Krypton's pending doom from the time-traveling hero Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos), unfortunately, it appears he may have gotten his information wrong.
The real threat turns out to be one of the biggest developing plot twists in recent history! We're talking EMPIRE STRIKES BACK level "I am your father" revelations! To top it all off, the threat of DOOMSDAY looms large as the creature is viewed as the ultimate weapon to stop Brainiac.
If you missed the first season, owning the Blu-Ray will get you caught up in time for season 2. Or, if you just absolutely loved it and want to relive all of the exciting thrills season 1 provided, this should be on your shelf the day it's released.
Which, by the way, will be March 5th, 2019.
Featuring behind the scenes, a special "gag reel", and featurettes, the Blu-Ray will offer you over an hour of enhanced content on top of the 600 minutes of feature runtime!
