In a world where balance exists between the dark and light sides of the force, forshadowing casts a gray cloud over everything.

What does it all mean?

Hell if I know. THE LAST JEDI will be deconstructed until the next installment is released. This much I know for sure. The internet will be littered with articles that dissect the most miniscule moments. Have questions been answered? Yes. Do we have more questions now that we've seen it? Absolutely.

Rian Johnson delivers a movie that is both action packed, humorous, and full of depth. While some of the comedy is more over-the-top than we're used to for a Star Wars movie, it still meshes well and doesn't distract from the story that's being told around it.

There are moments that will have you scratching your head. You will find yourself jumping out of your seat. You will squeeze your neighbor's arm in a death grip, as you watch certain events unfold. You will laugh and you will cry. You will feel a force tugging at your emotions of the likes you've never felt before. A conflict will rise within you as you see each character go on a journey of self-discovery; causing loyalties to come into question.

THE LAST JEDI introduces new elements in the STAR WARS brand of storytelling, which works quite well: the flashback. And to every story told, there's a light side, a dark side, and a gray area in-between and it all depends on who you talk to. The movie is an homage to Star Wars fans, and instills a new hope into every adult who imagined being a Jedi as a child.

If you wait until it's out on Blu-Ray, this is the type of movie that you will immediately pause so you can deliver a boisterous "WTF" statement and immediately begin discussing the ramifications. The hardest part about going to see this movie on opening night, is there aren't many people to discuss it with.

And you'll want to.

THE LAST JEDI is everything the second movie in the new trilogy should be. Character development continues on every level and it leaves you wanting more. Even if it means when we get it, we'll be moments away from the end of this saga. Cherish this movie. Be grateful that we have it. The ride is one movie away from being over. Thank Yoda for spin-offs and the news of Rian Johnson's trilogy. Because when it's all said and done, this hangover will be near impossible to recover from.

And don't you dare tell me that Disney has ruined the franchise. If anything they have improved it. They have injected life into the franchise after a set of prequels nearly tore it apart.

Buy your ticket. Go see it a second time. Discuss it with your friends. THE LAST JEDI is Star Wars at its best and you won't want to be left in the dark.
